The leathers
behind the craft.
Every leather we use is selected directly — touched, tested, and chosen for its quality, its character, and the way it ages over time.
These are not catalog choices. They are deliberate decisions. We work exclusively with selected European tanneries chosen for their history, their technique, and the final result of the finished leather.
French Chevre
The same leather chosen for decades by maisons that refuse compromise. Produced in France by one of the last tanneries still practicing traditional vegetable and semi-vegetable tanning on an artisanal scale. More than a century of uninterrupted production has made this leather one of the most respected names in European craftsmanship.
It is the leather we use across all our POCKET accessories. A semi-vegetable goatskin — soft, smooth, and refined. Known for its tight and even grain, and for its ability to develop a natural patina over time. With use, it softens and darkens slightly — a process that makes every piece progressively more personal.
It is not wear. It is character.
Bull
The reference taurillon for those who know the difference. The same tannery, the same hides, chosen by Europe’s most demanding maisons for their iconic bags. Young European bull — a leather with a precise story. The grain is not mechanically embossed like most commercial leathers. It is created through drum tumbling: the hides are placed in humid rotating drums where movement and heat bring out the leather’s natural grain from within. The longer the drum rotates, the more pronounced and alive the grain becomes.
The result is a slightly irregular surface, never identical to itself — every hide carries the marks of its own life: veins, tonal variations, nuances. Not imperfections. Authentic character. Soft and silky to the touch, it gains depth with use without losing structure.
At the moment we use it for the handles of our bags — in the future, also for panels. Every application is individually evaluated and approved: by default, every product leaves with the materials it was originally designed with. Different combinations are possible upon request, but not guaranteed.
Tuscan Vacchetta
The ultimate vegetable-tanned leather — anyone who works seriously with leather knows it, and knows why. Produced in the heart of the Santa Croce sull’Arno district — the historical centre of Italian vegetable tanning. One of the most celebrated vegetable-tanned leathers in the world.
Vegetable tanning is the oldest tanning method in existence, using natural vegetable tannins derived from tree bark. The process takes weeks rather than days. More rigid and structured when new, it develops a patina unlike any other material — darkening, softening, and gaining depth through use in a way unique to every piece and every owner.
Smooth and almost waxy when new. With use it transforms: edges naturally burnish, surfaces deepen where touched, colours gain richness. The leather tells the story of its use — with increasing beauty rather than increasing wear.
